Course Content
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the law and practice of both international and domestic arbitration. It examines the legal framework governing arbitration, including arbitration agreements, arbitration management conferences, arbitration document management, jurisdiction, procedural rules, hearings, the conduct of arbitral proceedings, and the enforcement of arbitral awards.
Participants will explore key principles and laws, including the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798), with attention to both theoretical foundations and practical application. Through practical exercises, role-plays, and mooting, participants will develop essential skills such as drafting arbitration clauses, preparing submissions, conducting effective hearings, and analysing procedural strategies.
