Workshop on Domestic and International Arbitration with Practical Exercise
The Ghana Arbitration Centre is organizing a three day workshop on Domestic and International Arbitration with Practical Exercises from the 4th to 6th of July 2018.
The workshop will among others, educate prospective arbitration practitioners in domestic and international arbitration proceedings under Act 798 and underscore the critical importance for stakeholders in deploying the enormous benefits of using arbitration to resolve their disputes expeditiously. A key component of this workshop will be practical exercises and role plays by participants. The outline of the syllabus includes but not limited to the following key subjects:
(i) Introduction to Domestic and International Arbitration; (ii) Negotiating and Drafting Arbitration Agreement; (iii) Commencing a Domestic and International Arbitration; (iv) Responding to a Notice of Arbitration; (v) Constitution of the Arbitral Tribunal; (vi) Challenging, Impeaching or Objecting to the Tribunal; (vii) Arbitration Management Meeting/Procedural Meeting Under the Rules of Various Arbitration Institutions; (viii) Drafting of Pleadings in Domestic and International Arbitration; (ix) Principles of Conducting an Arbitral Hearing; (x) Moot Hearing; (xi) Discussion of Moot Hearing; (xii) Cost of the Arbitration

Three Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,000.00) for early bird registration (before 20th June, 2018) and Three Thousand Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,500.00) for late registration (after 21st June, 2018). The registration fee covers tuition for the three (3) days, course materials and lunch breaks.
